The SLQS Oman Dansala Program in 2016 was a heartfelt initiative by the Sri Lankan Quantity Surveyors Fraternity in Oman to promote generosity, unity, and cultural values within the expatriate community. Held during the Poson full moon season, the program brought together volunteers, families, and professionals to offer free food and refreshments to hundreds of people, spreading kindness and compassion in the true spirit of Dansala.
Organized with great care and community participation, the 2016 Dansala event became a symbol of how Sri Lankan traditions thrive abroad through solidarity and service. Members of SLQS Oman collaborated to prepare, serve, and manage the event, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere for all attendees.
This act of giving not only honored our cultural roots but also strengthened the bond among Sri Lankans in Oman. We express our deep gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this meaningful event and look forward to more opportunities to serve together as one community.
